Pa Edwin Clark, a senior statesman and leader of the Southern and Middle-Belt Leaders Forum (SMBLF), is urging for a forum that welcomes all Nigerians as members, enabling them to attend and voice their opinions on governance. He underscores the importance of the successful 2014 National Conference, which allowed Nigerians to articulate their preferences for governance.

By advocating for an all-encompassing assembly where all Nigerians can engage, Clark is championing a democratic and participatory governance model. This concept is in line with democratic values of representation and inclusivity, granting each individual a say in shaping the nation's future.

Clark's aspiration for a nationwide assembly for all Nigerians epitomizes a quest for transparency, openness, and collaborative decision-making in governance. By providing a platform for diverse viewpoints to be expressed, such initiatives can promote national cohesion, empathy, and advancement by integrating the thoughts and aspirations of the entire populace.

In an interview with The Sun, Clark said, "So the setting up of the famous 2014 National Conference was as a result of these stories I’ve been telling you, that, let us have an assembly where every Nigerian will be a member, will attend, and express our views on how we want to govern ourselves or how other people will govern us. And the conference was very successful."
