In an interview with The Sun, Clark said, "So the setting up of the famous 2014 National Conference was as a result of these stories I’ve been telling you, that, let us have an assembly where every Nigerian will be a member, will attend, and express our views on how we want to govern ourselves or how other people will govern us. And the conference was very successful."
