Mutahi Ngunyi Sends Gen Zs A Message After The Tuesday Protests

opera.com 4 days ago

Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has sent a message to the Gen Zs to warn them about the consequences of having the military take over the protests from the police. Ngunyi told them that they should not celebrate the presence of soldiers in the ongoing protests as things could go south at any moment.

He said that the soldiers are not police officers and hat should be understood. Ngunyi said that the KDF are a force and the police a service and if the soldiers engaged in the protests they will treat them like a force and they should therefore be careful with what they desire to have. Ngunyi also said that the Gen Zs are not criminals but the criminals are Gen Zs that are ruining the peaceful protests.

"Dear Gen Z: ONE, Polisi SIO Jeshi. The Police are a SERVICE, and KDF is a FORCE. If KDF joins this fracas, they will treat you like a force. TWO, GenZ are NOT criminals. But the criminals are also Gen Z. FACT. Different sides of the same coin. Posh Side; Criminal Side. Same COIN." Mutahi Ngunyi said.

This message by Ngunyi to the Gen Zs comes after the protesters were seen demanding that police officers not be deployed to the streets but instead the KDF be sent. This is after the Thursday protests where the KDF soldiers were seen to be very friendly with the people unlike their police colleagues. Ngunyi however warns that this was just a low key gesture from the soldiers as they had not shown their true colors.
