Uhuru's Whereabouts Revealed As Details Emerge On Why He Failed To Attend Wanjigi's Burial

Muhoho Kenyatta has now revealed that former President Uhuru Kenyatta was unable to join Nyeri residents during the burial of former member of parliament, Maina Wanjigi because unavoidable circumstances.

Muhoho who read Uhuru Kenyatta's message of condolences to the family of Wanjigi said that the former Head of State, his wife Margaret Kenyatta and Mama Ngina Kenyatta could not make it to the funeral because they are currently out of the country.

"My job here is to read the message of my brother, the former President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta. Unfortunately he is not able to be here with us today. Himself, Margaret Kenyatta and my mother Mama Ngina are out of the country, but together with us in this." He said

In his statement, Mr Kenyatta described the late senior citizen as a remarkable leader, who was not only a dedicated development oriented leader but also a patriot who served the country from the bottom of his heart.

He also said that Wanjigi's commitment to the people of Kamukunji, who he represented as a member of parliament led to the establishment of iconic Gikomba market.

"Wanjingi was not only a remarkable leader but also a true patriot whose dedication to the development of this country has left a mark in our society. His unweavering commitment to the people of Kamukunji and visionary leadership was key in the establishment of the iconic Gikomba market." Muhoho read in the statement
