Reports suggesting the suspension of the #OccupyMoH movement are false, according to a recent statement from the union leading the campaign.

The union clarified that its official social media handle had been compromised and that efforts are underway to regain control and secure the account.

In an official statement released on Monday, July 8, the union assured its members and the public that the #OccupyMoH movement remains active and committed to its objectives.

"Reports circulating to the effect that #OccupyMoH has been suspended are false," the statement read. "The union handle has been compromised, and we are trying our best to regain control of it and clean it."

The union emphasized the importance of continuing their efforts to overhaul the Ministry of Health (MoH) system, highlighting the need to address both internal issues and external threats, including the recent hacking of their social media accounts.

"We must overhaul the system, including those who have hacked the union handles," the union declared.

Despite the challenges faced, the union reaffirmed its commitment to the cause, stating, "We remain strong. We remain focused."

The statement concluded with a call to action, urging supporters to gather at the Ministry of Health (MoH) headquarters to continue their advocacy efforts: "Tukutane MoH" (Let's meet at MoH).

The #OccupyMoH movement has been a vocal advocate for reforms within Kenya's health sector, pushing for improved working conditions, better pay, and increased transparency.

The union encourages members and supporters to stay informed through verified channels and to continue supporting the movement's goals for a better healthcare system in Kenya.
