Tony Okocha, the Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has made shocking revelations about Governor Fubara's past. In an interview with TVC News, Okocha alleged that Fubara was a staff member in the Ministry of Finance during his tenure as Chief of Staff and was later promoted to Director of Finance and Administration by the then Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.

Okocha claimed that Fubara's promotion was a reward for his loyalty, but instead, he betrayed Wike and those who supported him to become the PDP candidate. This betrayal has sparked a lingering political crisis in Rivers State, with many calling for Fubara's accountability.

In his words;

"Fubara was a staff of Rivers State Government. He was working in the ministry of finance. Even in my time, I was the Chief of Staff, he was a staff of the ministry of finance. When Wike came to office, he promoted him to director of finance and administration and transfered him to the Government house. however, he betrayed Wike, and every other person that stood on his side to present him as candidate for PDP"
