The Red Devils were in dire need of signing a midfielder after Christian Eriksen got injured in the FA Cup match against Reading at Old Trafford a few days ago.
This situation made the Manchester United board to act fast as the January winter transfer window was coming to an end.
According to Sky Sports news reports, Manchester United was offered the chance to sign four marquee midfielders before they settled on a loan deal for Marcel Sabitzer from Bayern Munich.
The reports claim that Manchester United was offered the chance to sign Isco who is a free agent, Saul Niguez, Houssem Aouar and Yannick Carrasco before settling on Sabitzer.
This is a huge move because the Bayern Munich midfielder will be a good replacement of Eriksen before he completes recovery.
