VIDEO: Gachagua Forced to Cut Short His Speech as Impatient Motorists Protest

opera.com 4 days ago

On his latest trip to the Kisii-Kaplong junction, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua had to deal with a crowd of impatient drivers. The vice president stopped to talk to people in the area, but his speech had to be cut short because drivers were getting more and more angry because he was in the middle of a big traffic jam.

Traffic backed up because of the spontaneous speech, and drivers were angry and started honking their horns.

Several drivers thought the delay was pointless, and their anger quickly grew, causing Gachagua to cut short his speech and let traffic resume its flow.

This event shows how displeased Kenyans are becoming with their government leaders. A lot of people are against the Finance Bill 2024, which has led to broad protests and criticism from many parts of society.

"When Riggy G stopped at the Kisii-Kiplong junction in Bomet County to address wananchi, motorists got impatient. The traffic hold-up was unnecessary and they had to hoot and honk relentlessly forcing him to cut short his speech. Kenyans are TAYAD of anything KK…" Philip Etale.

This has made things more tense in recent months. Increasing taxes in the bill has caused more public anger and a number of anti-government protests.
