Watch: Mantashe Mistakenly Tells Parliament He Will Divulge State Secrets

opera.com 4 days ago

ANC heavyweight who is serving as minister of mineral resources, Gwede Mantashe, has mistakenly revealed that he will divulge state secrets entrusted to him as chief justice Raymond Zondo was helping him take oath of office.

When the minister made such a terrible mistake, the entire parliament was left in stitches. Although it was a slip of the tongue, some critics argue that it shows these old ANC comrades are not competent enough to continue leading in these crucial ministries.

"Comrade Gwede is hilarious, but he's telling the truth folks. He will divulge the state secrets. President Ramaphosa must be careful of him," said a social critic.

A government of national unity is now in motion with appointed ministers officially sworn in to assume their duties. Political parties are however showing their agendas especially Democratic Alliance and the African National Congress.

DA leaders said their ministers are not in government to implement ANC policies, and the ANC seems clueless after failing to secure majority votes for the first time in a democratic South Africa.
