Raila Fires Back at Youths Demanding Ruto's Resignation

Azimio One Kenya Leader Raila Odinga has responded back at youthful protesters who are demanding President William Ruto to step down from office.

Raila now want President Ruto to listen to Kenyans who wants him to resign.

In a stinging statement, the opposition party said the president had “blood on his hands” referencing the killings of innocent protesters, saying the protests of June 25 were a vote of no confidence against Ruto.

ODM dismissed Ruto’s call for dialogue, arguing the environment he had created through the heightened police suppression of protests contradicted the president’s talks plea.

Interior CS Kithure Kindiki directed security agencies to thwart any future attempts at violence at any cost, as well as demonstrations to help protect lives and property, while also noting that officers accused of killings would face legal charges.

He expressed concern about criminals infiltrating protests, resulting in widespread looting and property destruction.
