Labour Party, LP chieftain, Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour has reacted to the response that the Lagos Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, gave him after he called his attention to a canal overgrown with weeds.
Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour wrote on his page;
"Here is a canal in Lekki overgrown with weeds that disrupts the free flow of water. As I always say, it is far easier to clear canals than it is to demolish buildings".
Reacting to the post that Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour made, Tokunbo Wahab told him that he will be fine.
He wrote on his page;
"Eventually, you will be fine".
However, Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour has now reacted to the statement that was made by the Lagos state Commissioner.
He responded while speaking during an interactive session on Arise TV. Speaking about the matter, Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour said Tokunbo Wahab shouldn't have made such post. He said the right thing for him to do is to fix the canal because it is his job.
He said the Lagos state government is making so much money therefore it should be able to fix issues affecting the state.
Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour said in the viral video;
"I showed you a canal, overgrown with weeds, just clear it, it is your job, not that immature post. You are a government official for God sake. We should not be clapping for mediocrity. It should not be there in the first place. They are making so much money so what are they using the money for? Why should people deal with flooding, destruction of property, cars every year?".
