In a heart-wrenching incident, a 27-year-old man has been arrested for the brutal murder of his underage girlfriend. The victim, Nosipho Khomo (16), met a tragic end in Hammarsdale township, KwaZulu Natal.
According to reports from ZiMoja, Nosipho had a child with the suspect when she was just 14 years old. Her life took a dark turn as she fell into an abusive relationship. Khomo's older sister, Sthembile Gasa (20), revealed that Nosipho dropped out of high school due to her pregnancy. The family faced a grim reality—they were powerless to protect her from the violence inflicted by her boyfriend.
Gasa explained that their home lacked a male figure, leaving Nosipho vulnerable. Their neighbor, Mr. Mkhwanazi, attempted to intervene on several occasions, but his efforts went unheard. The abuse persisted, culminating in tragedy. Last year, on New Year's Eve, the man stabbed Nosipho, and she spent days recovering in the hospital. Shockingly, despite the violence, the couple continued their relationship, refusing to open a case against him.
The KwaZulu Natal South African Police Service (KZN SAPS) confirmed the arrest of the suspect. Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo stated that the 16-year-old victim lost her life due to multiple stab wounds. The community mourns the loss of a young life, and questions linger about how such abuse could persist.

"Police in Mankweng, under the Capricorn District of Limpopo, have arrested a 20-year-old woman in connection with a murder and attempted murder incident. Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, provincial police spokesperson in Limpopo said the arrest follows incidents which happened at Moremadi Park on Wednesday evening."
