Constable Jackson Kuria Kihara, known as Shakur, attached to Ruiru Training College for Prisoners, went missing on Sunday under unclear circumstances. His family, through Lawyer Benjamin Njeru, believes he was kidnapped due to his involvement in the anti-Finance Bill protests.

Njeru stated that they reported Kihara's disappearance to the police but have yet to trace him. To prevent his arrest, Njeru secured an anticipatory bail for 30 days, but Kihara was reportedly abducted before the bail could be paid.

Photos circulating on social media show Shakur holding a placard urging police officers to refrain from using live bullets, suggesting they save them for gangs in Haiti.

Several individuals allegedly abducted by police over the anti-tax demonstrations remain unaccounted for, prompting activists to demand explanations for these actions against perceived protest leaders.
