The Cabinet commended the police officers for their exemplary conduct during the recent Anti-Finance Bill protests that affected various parts of the country over the past fortnight.

During a meeting on Thursday, Cabinet members praised the commendable efforts and professional demeanor exhibited by security officers under challenging conditions that demanded their utmost professionalism.

In a statement released to the media, the Cabinet expressed apprehensions regarding the initially peaceful protests, which began as a response to the tax measures proposed in the Finance Bill 2024.

However, it noted with concern that the demonstrations were subsequently infiltrated and exploited by criminal elements and opportunistic political forces pursuing their own agendas.

Kenyans have criticized Ruto's administration for praising police officers, even after using excessive force against them. They argue that Ruto's recent commendations of police actions, which allegedly resulted in innocent deaths, are inappropriate given the ongoing mourning and financial hardships facing the country.

They have rebuked him, emphasizing that despite today's disrupted demonstrations, he should not assume that the nation has moved on or ceased advocating for reforms aimed at ensuring that his government is accountability on how taxpayer money are been used.

Additionally, they have issued a brief ultimatum to His Excellency to dissolve rather than reshuffle the Cabinet, asserting that all current members are incompetent, but are good at lavishly spending taxpayer money while Kenyans endure hardships and suffering.

Moreover, this development coincides with speculation regarding Friday's upcoming X Space discussion aimed at engaging and addressing issues affecting youths, with some individuals expressing opposition to this initiative. Below are the comments
