Senior lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi aka Grand has called on CJ Martha Koome to end corruption in the Kenya's judiciary.
"Foreign institutions and even their Embassies US Embassy Kenya must undertake proper due diligence before they embark on collaborative programmes with the Kenya judiciary.
We all know that the judiciary in Kenya and moreso the Supreme Court of Kenya have of the years faced serious challenges related to corruption. One judge of the Supreme Court for instance, bought three prime properties in Nairobi in the past five years totalling 4 Million US Dollars. How can a Supreme judge with a net salary of 4000 dollars buy properties worth 4 million dollars?
Foreign universities by entertaining the Kenyan judiciary under the calamitous and incompetent leadership of CJ Martha Koome are going great deserves to the fight a against corruption and undermine the sacrifice and struggle on the part of Kenyan people to fight corruption in our judiciary.
It is offensive and very disrespectful for pepperdine and Pepperdine SGJI to engage the Kenyan judiciary without undertaking a forensic audit of the level of corruption in the Kenyan judiciary. America institutions will be in breach of both state and federal legislations when they knowingly engage with foreign institutions like the Kenyan judiciary that openly engage in corruption".
