More Towns To Witness Protests Tomorrow As Gen Zs Vow To Take To The Streets Again

The country has witnessed mass demonstrations in the past few weeks as Kenya's youthful generation voice their grievances to the government.

The protests that started as a result of the much protested finance bill 2024 have led to the change of tone in government with some major changes also witnessed.

The President was forced to withdraw the finance bill and went ahead to fire all his cabinet members except the Deputy President and Prime Cabinet Secretary who also serves as the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign affairs.

With fresh demands of calling for President Ruto's resignation, the youths, majority comprising of Generation Zs, have vowed to take to the streets yet again with Tuesday, 16th July scheduled to be a day when they will occupy streets of major towns across the country.

In a poster shared across social media platforms, Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa and Eldoret are among the key cities that are expected to witness protests with Nakuru, Nyeri, Kiambi, Kakamega, Garissa, Naivasha among others also set to have demonstrations.
