The MP voted Yes to the finance bill and after he shared a post informing that he attended the burial, a section of Kenyans expressed their reactions.

In a post shared on his X handle, Didmus Barasa said that the life of Willy Sitati was cut short when protestors invaded parliament.

"Today, we laid to rest Willy Sitati, a young member of Generation Z whose life was tragically cut short during the recent invasion of Parliament. Willy's untimely death serves as a poignant reminder of the high stakes in the fight for justice and change. His passion and dedication to the cause will not be forgotten, and his memory will inspire us to continue striving for a better future. Rest in peace, Willy," the MP said.

DAP-Kenya party leader Eugene Wamalwa was also among those who attended the event.

Wamalwa said the young man's dreams were shattered by the killer cop who took away his life.

"Condoling with the family of Willy Sitati in Kimilili, another Gen Z protestor who died on the streets of Nairobi. His engineering dream was cut short by KK killer cops. Like his legendary freedom fighter and great grandfather Elijah Masinde, he died hero and freedom fighter," Wamalwa said.
