"Mt. Kenya Must Have A Presidential Candidate In 2027" Waititu Says Reveals The Reason

The political temperature in Kenya has been rising over the part few weeks with the anti-government demonstrations being witnessed in the country over the Contentious Finance Bill and corruption issues in Ruto's government.

On the other hand, as this happens Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's backyard of Mt. Kenya have started speaking a different language ahead of 2027 general elections.

This was witnessed when Nyeri County Governor Mutahi Kahiga openly said that they will not let their son, Rigathi Gachagua to go through humiliation in Kenya Kwanza government that is led by President William Ruto.

Former Governor of Kiambu County Ferdinand Waititu has said that in 2027 the Mt. Kenya region must have a presidential candidate who will be able to unite the region. This means that if Mt. Kenya fronts a presidential candidate in 2027, he will run against President Ruto whose deputy is Rigathi Gachagua.

Waititu's remarks comes as the deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is already going on with the agenda of uniting Mt. Kenya following his rallies he held while Ruto was in the United States of America. The move was criticised by close allies of President William Ruto including CS Murmoken who said that Gachagua is DP to all Kenyans. MP Oscar Sudi also criticised Gachagua's move of uniting Mt. Kenya while neglecting other parts of the country.

It should be noted that his comes amid speculation on the fallout of the two top leaders of the country even as both Ruto and Gachagua deniee such claims while Gachagua recently opened up that he supported Ruto against the wish of his Children. Gachagua said that the problem between him and his boss could only be solved through certain measures as it was not due to disagreements as purported.
