The youths are currently conducting anti-government protests across all the cities and towns in the country.
During the previous protests, we witnessed serious destruction of public and private properties, looting of many businesses and loss of lives.
The protests on the streets seemed peaceful therefore, no reports have clearly shown the leaders of the vandalism and the massive killings that are being reported.

Allegendly, a group of goons who are not part of the protestors have been witnessed occupying parts of Mlolongo market leading to increased tension among the demonstrators.
From a video shared on The Star's X page, protestors can be seen running away from the market centre to save their lives.
