One of the things that the Gen Zs are really fighting for is the unfulfilled promises that President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza brigade promised people during the campaigns but was never fulfilled. During the August 2022 campaigns, the president and his troop has vowed to lower the cost of living which has not happened yet.
They say that Internet never forgets. A video of William Ruto in 2008 fighting leaders who make campaign promises and never fulfills them has emerged. By that time Ruto was the minister for agriculture and was campaigning for the former prime minister, Raila Odinga. While addressing the crowd, Ruto is heard criticizing the politicians who promise things during campaigns period but after being elected things change. Ruto said that the worst kind of impunity was the impunity of deceit to Kenyans.
Ruto stated that he is against all those who promises Kenyans something but after elections they change. He added that it's the greatest enemy in Kenya and they will not allow it to happen. Ruto's words represent completely what he said. In his government Kenyans have complained of the unfulfilled promises by the Kenya Kwanza government citing that the government has completely failed them.
