Upon apprehension, the suspects were found in possession of a significant quantity of drugs, which they were attempting to smuggle out of the country. Details of the type and quantity of drugs seized have not been disclosed pending further investigation.

The operation highlights the effectiveness of inter-agency cooperation and intelligence gathering in combating drug trafficking. The suspects, Christie and Butcher, face serious charges of drug trafficking and are expected to appear in court soon. The Hawks have reiterated their commitment to fighting drug trafficking and have warned that they will continue to act decisively against those involved in such illicit activities.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full extent of the suspects' operations and any potential links to larger drug trafficking syndicates. The public is encouraged to provide any additional information that could assist in the investigation.
