In Nambale, Busia county, a grieving family is appealing for help in transferring the remains of their son, who was killed during protests against the budget bill.

The deceased's father stated that he was unable to get to the mortuary, where Paul Nyongesa's body was being held because of financial difficulties.

The family's only source of income, Nyongesa, was left penniless by the protests, and he is now struggling to care for his three children.

A number of families are still in shock at the deaths of their loved ones that occurred on Tuesday, June 25, during the historic protests.

A family in Logiri village, Nambale, is grieving the loss of their 27-year-old son, Paul Nyongesa, who was shot and killed amid fighting between anti-riot police and Gen Z demonstrators in Nyeri.

Nyongesa had moved away from home to help his impoverished parents, and three small children in quest of better chances in a far-off county. According to a report by NTV Kenya, he worked as a security guard at night and as a hotel employee during the day.

"He used to spend the little money he made to support us. He has three children left behind now. Nothing at all. "I am uncertain about how I will care for the kids," expressed his distraught mother.

His family claims that a friend told them the heartbreaking news of their son's passing. It has not been possible for his father to visit Nyonges's body, which is still in the morgue.

The family is currently having trouble making funeral plans, but they are unable to bring Nyongesa's body home due to financial limitations.

Since they are presently unable to pay for it on their own, they are pleading with the public for help in getting him back and giving him a respectable funeral.

"I've never seen my son, so I'm not even sure what he looks like. He said, "I am appealing to the county administration and well-wishers to assist me in returning his body home for burial. For his family, the deceased was their only hope.
