Sofiya Nzau has surpassed 10 million listeners on Spotify, an achievement that has seen her shake the music charts in the region.
Nzau has become first artist from East Africa to achieve such feat, beating East Africa giants in the game such as Diamond Platinumz, Harmonize, Zuchu, Sauti Sol, Nyashinski, Khaligraph and the like.
The Mwaki hitmaker is scarcely old in the industry yet her numbers keep surging in the music charts across all platforms, with Mwaki being her biggest hit.

Before rising to fame, Nzau went through her fair share of hardship experiences in her quest to earn something for survival.
"I was a house help and a hawker before this. After the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I took a house help job before quitting in December 2020, then I started songwriting full-time," Nzau confided in an interview with a local station.
