How counties in Kenya rank in the corruption index from Highest corrupt to least corrupt

Corruption has been a major debate in Kenya's political space ever since the anti government protests began. As most protesters focus on the corruption scandals going on in the national government, some have shifted their focus to the county governments.

This is how counties rank in the corruption index when ranked from the most corrupt to the least corrupt.

The research was done by Statistics Kenya and Bomet county was excluded from the research because there was no enough information about Bomet County available at the EACC.

Nairobi County, Busia, Kakamega, Kiambu, and West Pokot emerged in the top five most corrupt counties in Kenya.

Nyandarua, Bungoma, Samburu, Nakuru, and Kisumu closed the top ten list of the most corrupt counties in Kenya.

Baringo County, Homabay, Garisa, Machakos, Turkana, Isiolo, Siaya, Tharaka Nithi, and Migori county closed the list of top twenty most corrupt counties in Kenya.

Kwale, Elgeyo Marakwet, Laikipia, Kajiado, Uasin Gishu, Kitui, Nyamira, Tana River, Trans Nzoia, Muranga, Narok, Meru, Makueni, Wajir, Kilifi, Kisii, Kirinyaga, Nandi, Marsabit, and Taita Taveta followed in that order.

The five least corrupt counties in Kenya were as follows: Kericho, Vihiga, Lamu, Mandera, Nyeri and Embu.
