Situation as Azimio La Umoja -One Kenya Alliance leader Raila Odinga lands in a foreign country, meets with foreign president as he eyes African Union Commission Chairperson seat.
According to the information shared by the Azimio leader, he has today landed in Juba, South Sudan where he had a productive meeting with the South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
Raila has said that the support and commitment by the South Sudan President to rallying the entire EAC block for Odinga's candidature is highly appreciated.
"Had a very productive meeting in Juba with the President of South Sudan. Thank you, H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit, for hosting me. Your support and commitment to rallying the entire EAC block behind my AUC Chair candidacy are greatly appreciated." Raila said
The South Sudan President is the East African Community, EAC Chair. He leads Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi , South Sudan , Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo.
