One of the four suspects involved in the audacious robbery at Umbumbulu police station earlier today has been located and shot dead by police in Eston. The search for the remaining three suspects continues.
The robbery, which shocked the local community, saw the suspects overpowering officers, seizing their firearms, and making off with a state vehicle. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, leaving the police force on high alert.
Acting swiftly on intelligence reports, a police task force tracked the stolen vehicle to Eston, a small town located approximately 60 kilometers from Umbumbulu. Upon confrontation, a shootout ensued, resulting in the death of one suspect. The deceased's identity has not yet been disclosed, pending notification of next of kin.
