If You Were Caught On Any Camera Looting During Tuesday Demos, Here Is What You Need To Know

Lawyer Wahome Thuku has said that Kenyans caught on camera looting and destroying properties during Gen Z peaceful demonstration against finance bill 2024 are in big trouble.

"If you were clearly caught on any camera destroying and looting any property during the Tuesday demos, especially in Nairobi you better run for your life.

They will profile and catch you and no, they will not take you through the legal route.

See, even if you were 50 of you, they will only go for 5 or 10. And believe me, you might either never be seen again or you will never leave your bed.

I know you will dismiss my thinking and tell me not to sell you fear. After doing that, go to Google and search a story of a gentleman called Kimani Ruo. I covered the story in 2007 during Kibaki regime.

I was in court when he was acquitted of being a Mungiki leader. Outside the court, he even addressed the media. Unknown to him some of the pressman he was addressing were Kwekwe hit squad officers in those media jackets, note books and pens and even cameras.

As soon as the real media had left, he was surrounded by the "kwekwe media" loaded into a car, whisked away and that was the last day he was seen alive to date. None even remembers him.

The pressure to arrest those who stormed Parliament and looted is extremely high and I know it from inside sources. They know that if the looters are hit hard, even the peaceful Gen Zs will be pacified and wont come to the streets. That way the demos will always be branded as criminal and contained as such. Or so they assume". Said Hon. Wahome Thuku.
