Rivers LG: If Fubara Had Said Move Into That Place, There Would Have Been Bloodbath - Inko Tariah

opera.com 2 days ago

Former Special Assistant to former Governor Nyesom Wike, Inko Tariah, has responded to Governor Sim Fubara's directive for the caretaker chairmen of the 23 LGAs in Rivers to operate from any site rather than relocating to the state's council secretariats.

In a video that Arise TV posted, Tariah said that Governor Fubara knew of the schemes and plans of his opponents.

He claimed that Fubara would have been held accountable for any violence that resulted from his insistence that the caretaker chairman assume control of the secretariats right away.

Recall that all 23 Local Government Council secretariats in the state were taken over by the Rivers State Police Command. This was done to keep residents safe and to avert crises that could transpire after the tenure of local government chairpersons expired.

According to Tariah, "If Fubara had said, "I am Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the state, move into that place," there would have been bloodbath in that place, and who would have taken the blame? The governor."
