2027: Tinubu govt will play political pranks, reduce fuel to N500 – Dalung

Former Minister of Youths and Sports, Solomon Dalung has warned that President Bola Tinubu’s administration would play political pranks on Nigerians ahead of 2027.

Dalung said Tinubu’s administration has no intentions of developing Nigeria.

In an interview with Trust TV, the outspoken former Minister also predicted that Tinubu would reduce the price of fuel to N500 per liter to lure Nigerians ahead of 2027.

Banditry: End insecurity by 2025 ending – Tinubu gives military marching orders

President Bola Tinubu has issued marching orders to the military to end banditry and general insecurity by the end of 2025.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Defence, Abubakar Badaru, in a viral video.

Following Tinubu’s order, Badaru said the military will continue its onslaught against bandits and all forms of criminalities.

IG warns officers against unauthorised case transfers, threatens sanctions

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, on Tuesday, expressed serious concerns over the unethical practice of transferring ongoing cases without authorisation and the misuse of public office by certain officers and individuals.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, in a statement on Tuesday, emphasised that such practices, which undermine investigations and erode public confidence in the Force, will no longer be tolerated.

“The IGP has emphasised that transparency, professionalism, and accountability must remain the guiding principles of policing. In line with this, he has directed all supervising officers and personnel, particularly those in investigative units, to handle cases with diligence and integrity”, Adejobi stated.

He further warned that strict disciplinary actions await any officer found engaging in indiscriminate transfers of case files or abusing their office.

Gombe ex-NNPP chairman defects to APC

The former chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rambi Ayala, has defected to the All Progressives Congress.

The Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, who welcomed the former lawmaker into APC emphasised that all APC members are equal and will receive equal rights and treatment, regardless of when they joined the party.

Arewa PUNCH reports that Ayala defected to APC after losing his bid to contest the House of Representatives’ primary.

“We decided to rejoin the APC to complement Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s efforts in providing the dividends of democracy across the nook and crannies of the state to our people,” Ayala explained.
