Dr. Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), has called on Christians to embrace personal responsibility in their spiritual journeys.
Speaking via a recent YouTube video, he emphasized the importance of personal deliverance and self-reliance in faith, stating, “Your greatest mountain can be your bedroom, and your greatest prophet is within you.”
Dr. Olukoya explained that many Christians rely excessively on external spiritual figures, such as prophets and pastors, while neglecting their own capacity to engage with God.
He pointed out that the ministry of Jesus is threefold: to save, heal, and deliver. Every believer, he noted, has the power to access these blessings directly through a personal relationship with God.
According to him, MFM discourages the practice of running from “mountain to mountain” in search of miracles. Instead, believers are encouraged to create their own spiritual “mountains” through prayer, fasting, and Bible meditation in their personal spaces.
Dr. Olukoya then stressed, “The greatest prophet you need is already within you.” He encouraged Christians to discover and nurture this inner prophet, which is the Holy Spirit, as failing to do so can lead to unnecessary suffering and dependence on external sources.
Personal deliverance, he explained, involves setting oneself free from spiritual and emotional bondages, strongholds, and negative patterns through prayer and the Word of God. “These signs shall follow them that believe: they shall lay hands on the sick, and the sick shall recover,” he quoted from the Bible, urging believers to take charge of their spiritual destinies.
He then issued a wake-up call for Christians to take ownership of their faith, realizing that true power and deliverance begin with a personal commitment to God.
