Agreement In Place Between Manchester United's January Target and Serie A Club
If Manchester United's January transfer target Patrick Dorgu's "secret agreement" with Leece comes to fruition, the Premier League powerhouses will be able to seal the deal, as reported by GiveMeSport.
United are looking to bolster their roster after a disappointing season that left them just 10 points above the English Premier League's relegation zone.
United manager Ruben Amorim is likely to go out and get players that share his ideology in an effort to change the club's fortunes.
With Tyrell Malacia possibly departing over lack of playing time and Luke Shaw unstable owing to his injury record, Amorim supposedly views left back as a critical position that requires strengthening.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who confirmed what David Ornstein had already reported, Manchester United have initiated negotiations to sign 20-year-old wing back Patrick Dorgu from Leece.
According to GiveMeSport, Dorgu's Serie A club secretly agreed to not stand in his way if a large club came knocking before he signed a new deal in October 2024.
The teenager has featured in 47 matches over the past 18 months, and Leece is asking for about €40 million for him. Dorgu, who makes about £10,000 a week now, will experience a huge rise if he joins Manchester United.
