Prominent Peoples Democratic Party chieftain Dele Momodu has denounced the recent outburst by Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, in which he publicly insulted Senator Ireti Kingibe, a 70-year-old female senator, on live television. Momodu expressed outrage over Wike's unacceptable behavior, urging the National Assembly to address the matter.

Momodu criticized Wike's apparent belief that he wields presidential-level power and questioned President Tinubu's tolerance of such actions, suggesting potential political or financial motivations. He lamented the decline of Nigeria's democratic institutions and wondered when the country had sunk so low.

Momodu's statements, shared on his Instagram page, emphasized the need for accountability and respect in governance. He asked whether Wike's self-importance, fueled by his "Mr. Project" nickname, justified his egregious conduct. Momodu's condemnation highlights the need for leaders to uphold dignity and respect in public discourse.

He said, "Power drunkenness, a 56 years old man insulting a 70 years old woman, a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria telling her to go and hug a transformer and die on a national television, and the National Assembly has not called the bluff off this man who acts like Nigeria now has two presidents.
