Man United join Arsenal in the race for in-form Premier League winger
According to Metro, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has set his sights on strengthening the squad, as the club has struggled this season despite a managerial change. An overhaul is planned, with several players, including Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, and Antony, expected to leave in January. This could pave the way for new arrivals, particularly a winger who can deliver better performances than the current options.
One player Amorim is reportedly interested in is Bryan Mbuemo of Brentford. The Cameroon international has been in outstanding form, scoring 13 goals in 20 Premier League appearances. His impressive performances have caught the attention of both Manchester United and Arsenal, who are monitoring him closely.
Brentford is unwilling to sell Mbuemo mid-season, so any potential move will likely happen in the summer. United is drawn to Mbuemo's versatility, as he can play across the front three. While Arsenal might offer him a chance to compete for trophies, Manchester United could promise him more regular playing time, as he would have a clear path to a starting role at Old Trafford, unlike at Arsenal, where he would face competition from Bukayo Saka.
